The 2024 Luminaire Prose Award

I’m a finalist!

Yesterday, I got an email from Flatiron Foothills Publications announcing that two of my short stories were finalists for their 2024 Luminaire Prose Award. At first I thought it was a cruel scam but no. "Lost"" (a story based on my adventures as a little old lady in Auckland) took second place and "A Woman of Substance" (post-WWII romance - maybe) took fourth.

I reckon it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

Lost appeared on Medium a while back and they’ll both be released by The Coil sometime in the next decade.

Here’s the announcement!
